On Saturday 20th April 2002, Finham Choral Society performed a concert of John Rutter music in front of a full house at Hearsall Baptist Church, Coventry.
The choir was honoured and proud to receive John Rutter himself, as our principle guest. The programme consisted wholly of Rutter works.

Part One For the Beauty of the Earth Gaelic Blessing All Things Bright and Beautiful The Lord Bless You and Keep You Flute Solo - Suite Antique Chorus of the Hebrew Slaves Blow, Blow Thou Winter Wind God Be in My Head The Owl and the Pussy Cat

Part Two Requiem The second half of the programme was devoted to John Rutters Requiem. The work, produced in 1985 has been performed many times in Britain the USA and other countries. Finham Choral Society was joined for the occasion by soloist Soprano Cheryl C. Hockham. Cheryl has sung with Finham Choral Society at previous concerts.

The evening concluded with a reception in honour of John Rutter, the choir presented him with a Flowering Cherry Tree to mark the occasion.
